ABOUT GAYAN GREGORY LONG: Sheikh Gayan Gregory Long is an internationally acclaimed drummer, composer, educator, and retreat leader. He is a direct disciple of Pir Shabda Kahn in the lineage of Sufi Ruhaniat International and has been drumming for and leading Dances of Universal Peace for twenty-five years. Gayan has over twenty years of international experience as a retreat leader and teacher. He has led Dances of Universal Peace and offered spiritual teachings at camps in Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Canada, Thailand, Switzerland, Russia, and throughout the United States. He has dedicated his life to community building and human potential through music, nature, and spiritual practice. As a musician, he has performed world wide from India to Russia, South America, and the Navajo Nation.

Beautiful location in the middle of the Santa Cruz redwoods.
Tent, cabin, and commuter options available, full or part time. Single (shared bath) and shared-rooms (2 or 3 people)
with semi-private bathrooms. All rooms have twin bunks; there are some double beds for couples or families.

♥ The swimming pool will NOT be available to us this year.
♥ MEALS: Our delicious meals together will be mostly vegan and gluten-free, with some animal-protein foods on the side.
      ♥ Sleeping bag or bedding, towels, toiletries.
      ♥ Ear plugs if you're sensitive to roommate noise.
      ♥ Clothing for hot and cool weather.
      ♥ Dressier clothes for evening dance and Zikr.
      ♥ A special item (e.g. picture or trinket of a loved one, teacher, etc.) for the Ancestors Table.
      ♥ Cash to make purchases at the Sufi Art Mart, as well as to give Dana to the teachers.
♥ What NOT to bring: Scents, pets, drugs or alcohol



We encourage everyone to register early. Late registrations are hard on the Happy Valley and SCSC staff. On-line registration closes Thursday, August 15th, at noon. On-site registration closes for the day programs at 9:30 am on Saturday.

Walk ins can no longer be accommodated for evening dinners. Dinner and the evening program is available for a special rate of $40 with registration by August 2nd. If you are attending the evening program only, please register and pay at the door.

All rates include delicious gluten-free, plant-based meals. Some animal proteins are served on the side. Eggs are served at breakfast, as well as scrambled tofu. Cheese, yogurt and tuna were available last year at various meals. There is a refrigerator and microwave available for use by anyone who wants to supplement these offerings. Most food allergies can be accommodated if you register by August 2nd.

Note that early bird registration closes June 28th this year.
